It's funny to note how--when another classmate snatched my phone and read this tread while it was displayed--this conversation happened:
Him: (reading my phone's display) "What's this?"
Me: "Don't judge me easily, but it's an atheist forum."
Him: "What's that?"
Me: "Atheists are people who don't believe in God."
Him: "So they're like the anti-religion?"
Me: "No, Atheist people just don't believe."
Him: "So they hate God!"
Me: "Like what I said, Atheists just don't believe. One can't be angry with something that don't exist."
Him: "So, they're like Muslims, right?"
Me: "No. Muslims worship Allah. Atheists worship nobody!"
Him: "I hate those people. They think they just appeared on Earth with a POOF!"
Me: (Glad I didn't tell him) "Well, their parents DID produce them."
Him: "Yeah, but still, they think they're better than God. They're living in their fantasy world."
Me: (Almost fed up) "N--yeah....... Riiiight......"

Hi.
I'm an atheist, and I can't lie about it anymore. While I wouldn't go shout, "I don't believe in God," I most certainly will say my beliefs (or lack thereof) when asked. So, can anyone list me the most common Christian defenses and the most appropriate atheist reasoning for each defense? I almost got into a debate with my classmate today, but I got speechless when I can't tell her how blind she is when she said, "Just look around you. Isn't that enough proof?" I know--meaningless. Fortunately, I didn't loose her.
I do not like debates, and would prefer my belief to be left alone. However, I'd like to be prepared, as I would like to be able to at least defend my atheism, as they are able to defend their Christianism with such meaningless thoughts.
