Check out all posts by Minimalist and like his name replies with minimal text, often crude rude and offensive but straight to the point with no bells and whistles.
I certainly will!

Yeah, because theist debators are so well known for being reasonable.

Hmm. That's true. But if I just don't believe without stating my reason, they'd say, "See? God is almighty! He's communicating with you right now, isn't he, telling you your purpose? You can't find a reason cuz God exists! HE CREATED EVERYTHING!" or something like that. However, thanks for telling me that--I had an idea of what to say! Thanks Smile

Yeah. Known for being reasonable with their unreasonable reasons (for us Atheists, at least) Smile

Well its nice getting young people with fresh open minds in here.
We seem to have an influx of christards that show up all at the same time, so it's like a breath of fresh air when we get one like you in.

Well, well... What to say to someone who tells you there is a god, that he does this and that and whatever claims they make about that god?
How about: "How do you know that?" emphasis on the YOU. Wink (but with a subtext of anyone... how would anyone know that?)
They'll usually reply with something about the bible.... -.-'
Poor deluded folks...
There's a book that claims that 3 little pigs built a house each... one of them built it with bricks and cement.
There's another one about little folk called hobbits that battle forces of evil alongside humans and elves and sorcerers, not to mention giant eagles.
Books abound, how do you tell if they're fact or fiction, if it's not spelled out on the cover?
Why would the bible be more trustworthy than any other holy book? Torah, qu'ran, vedas, etc...?

Oh, and the fact that there are various religions in the world helps put up a case against any of them... which one is the right one? Don't forget to include religions which no longer exist!
For christians, learn a bit about Sumerian religion and find the connecting dots: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sumerian_religion

You most definitely are. Welcome to AF! This forum is great, lot's of marvelous people around. Glad to have one more with us ^_^
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Thanks so much for the reply Smile Well, I actually said that on my last friendly debate. To be exact, I told her (the same classmate I mentioned on my first post), "Why should you believe the Bible when ordinary people wrote it? Humans make errors, you know that. And how can you tell that they are not lying that God and Jesus exists?" I shouldn't have debated with her if she didn't lecture me when I JUST asked her if she believes in God, but she became really touchy when I asked her.
Well, you know what she said? "They are not ordinary people! They're God's disciples! And they just wrote what God told them to!" I was silently like, "...WTF? Telekinesis? And what I meant was that they are Homo Sapiens. I don't care if they are kings or whatnot." I said, "Anyway, I just asked you! Don't fight with me. I believe in God just like you are!" (*blech* Tongue I was a liar...) Well, what should I say when confronted that defense? I just can't believe she was too ignorant to belive that stuff.
