Printing firearms.
I unfortunatly couldnt find the article to be translated in english, yet it includes a video in which the basics of what is described are shown.

In short, it has been found to be possible to print weapons with 3D printers which funktion perfectly.

A development which I find to be very disturbing.

These guys printed an AR lower receiver. It took them a couple of tries to design one that worked. Over here the lower reciever is the part considered the gun, but it isn't everything that is required for a functioning firearm. Other parts such as the bolt, bolt carrier and barrel probably couldn't be safely made using 3d printing.

And can these parts be produced privatly on a workbench by a person who printed the lower receiver?

I think this is a great idea.

The firearms lobby makes a killing off of stymieing unification of gun control legislation and whipping up fear.

Self produced firearms, so far, will never get the durability of a professionally produced gun.

So in essence, we have a solution emerging that will steal money away from the gun manufacturers, replace some guns with unsafe, unreliable and quick to break down zipguns, and will change the environment to force people to accept their willful embrace of firearm proliferation.

I can't wait for the next horrible gun tragedy.

It'll be a shocker, I tells you that much.

Maybe it will even cause people to consider a more holistic solution to preventing ease-of-killing violence. Smile
