Detoxification of Heavy Metals

Quit putting words in my mouth.
What other health problems or undiagnosed problems?

Fasting sources generally note that children, pregnant/nursing women, and diabetics on insulin shouldn't fast, and that people on other medications should consult their doctor.

For more extreme examples.

What if you don't know you're pregnant yet? What if you don't realize you have liver problems? My point is that Fallen has symptoms and doesn't know the cause of them yet, and suggesting he take away nutritional sources just because dogs stop eating when they feel sick is beyond fucking stupid.

I mean scientific evidence. Or is anecdotal evidence OK for you, but not for me?

A juice fast bathes the body in nutrition - much more than people get on the standard western diet.

/facepalm

I'm done. You can call it a victory if you want. You refuse to provide evidence for your assertions, and refuse to listen to any of the dangers, and above all can't accept that you were suggesting bullshittery in the face of a real medical problem.

Nice!

I provided evidence. You just don't accept the evidence. And that's fine - we all have our own standards of evidence. My main point is quite reasonable - if science hasn't bothered to study a treatment, it's reasonable for one to still consider it based on the types of evidence which are available.

Uh, no, I'm not going to let you claim that certain types of evidence are invalid for, but valid against.

Again, we're all free to set our own standards of evidence.

>Brain fog
>Always feeling fatigued even after a good night's sleep
>Bad memory
>Sensitive to light
>Disinterested in life
>Sensitive to loud noises
>Imbalance when walking (very rare, but it happens)
>Symptoms related to the mind get worse if I focus too hard on using my brain to complete tasks/think deeply about things.

Lately I have been researching after a recommended remedy failed. I was diagnosed as having inner ear problems about 6 months ago, but that only accounts for my infrequent imbalance. By the sounds of it, if that was actually the cause then I should be falling over every time I get up which isn't the case and it doesn't even account for the other symptoms like being sensitive to light. That's not related at all to the ear's balance system.

I have recently come across Chronic Fatigue Syndrome but after extensively reading about it, it seems like the sufferers who did find a cure (CFS doesn't have any solutions yet as it's not understood very well) realised that they were intoxicated with heavy metals such as iron, lead & mercury.

Basically, I'm just wondering if a) anyone here has had these symptoms before and/or b) if they know of methods to detoxify oneself of heavy metals in the body. I'm obviously going to seek medical help in the relevant areas (physician and nutritionist..?) but I thought it wouldn't hurt in asking around Smile

The only proper answer to give you here is to seek out a qualified health care professional that you trust. Sorry I can't be of more help.

RE: Detoxification of Heavy Metals
You didn't provide evidence; you provided links to a guy who spouted a bunch of nonsense. There were no linked studies, there were no citations. There wasn't even an actual definition of what those "toxins" are, because there isn't bloody one. So you're right - we have different standards. Mine are based in reality. You keep asking for evidence that it causes harm - I linked you a page with examples of what fasting can do. I also linked pages discussing the claims your beloved doctors THINK fasting does. I discussed the links Rayaan provided.

The problem is not that I don't accept the evidence, it's that you're not providing anything that constitutes as actual evidence that fasting does fuck all anything near what you originally claimed it would be good for. Now you've settled on "it doesn't hurt," which is still, even at its most neutral, a far cry from "it actually helps." It doesn't "bathe" your body in nutrients if you juice fast. It merely gives you an overdose of foods you should be eating anyway - something we discussed earlier in the thread, and which I heartily agree with. Except instead of doing the magical juicer, I suggested instead that people merely exercise and eat a responsible diet.

You don't like being called out on your bullshit and you're waffling around trying to pick of the pieces of your dignity.
