RE: Daniel Dennett
You can still believe in santa, should you be so inclined.

Look the other way, have misplaced childish faith, ignore contradictory scientific evidence, define santa outside of falsifiability, or come up with a wealth of apologetics.....

"Santa doesn't literally come down the chimney, it's a metaphor for how he insinuates himself into our lives, and reveals himself to us via the heart and hearth of our homes."

I tend to agree with you fr0d0 - a deity is one in a long list of utterly unproven causes of origin, a concept, where as Santa is a character.

Now, when we narrow the deistic focus to Yahweh we are faced with a different problem - we have not just an unproven concept of origins, but a provably wrong one. We have a character in a book, just like santa.

What a strange dream to have, consider I'm 21 years of age and here in the UK 18 years is, of course, adult. As I would hope you know?

But them dreams are strange aren't they? Wink

Anyway... how is "God" any more valid than Santa Claus? Enlighten me...
