Qur'an the word of god?

Quote:Realise that 80% of the quranic scientific facts are correct, the small amount left is either very ambigious / science hasn't yet reached that stage (i.e. where it can claim there is a soul)

Note: Credit to IRF, who i have spreaded the messages from. If you want more, visit their website as they have a lot of really good information which unfortunately i cannot show you now.

Hadn't the Greeks already figured out the Earth was round some ~800 years before the Quran was written?
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Listen brother, even if they did think that, the qur'an doesn't only speak about the Earth being completely round like a circle, but the qur'an describes the earth as more of a geographical shape, so the earth isn't really a 100% round.

Also, please realise that there are a lot of other scientific facts mentioned in the qur'an as well, like for example, when it was said by our creator that:
"And it is We Who have constructed the heaven with might, and verily, it is We Who are steadily expanding it." (Qur'an, 51:47)
And so on...
But... surely you would be smart enough to realise that an honest, illiterate, arab man couldn't have made things up like these, it is illiogical.

Apparently the guy who wrote this on the website he copy and pasted this from didn't know that.

Your knowledge of Islam and Muhammad is incredibly poor, Muhammad is the opposite of a paedophile, have a look at my post called: Athiest questions on Islam. That should teach you a lot of things you didn't have an idea of.

They were illiterate, after all. I believe it should be "Quran: Word of dog"

Do you honestly think you're the first muslim on these forums? Shame on you for not being able to write anything original, but sorting to copypastaing what others have written!
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Who is they? If it is Muhammad your talking about, i agree with you, he was illiterate. But, the part where you say that the quran is the word of a dog is crazy, if it was said by you for a laugh, i don't find it funny, it's complete stupidity. Please at least read my thread properly, if you have, read it again and at least take into your head what has been said, so hopefully you won't go around saying these ridiculous lies.
