Hello all
July 6, 2013 at 9:47 pm
Even when I called myself a Christian I always had my doubts. The bible just never really made any sense to me. The few here that know me already know that I'm rather odd. I think it's the artist in me. I don't put myself in any box, not even an atheist one. I hate stereotypes and labels. It took me 20 years or so to come to gripes with calling myself an atheist, that's how much I hate labels.
So saying that just wanted to say hi and hoping this forum is a breath of fresh air.

Hey smidgen!
But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret is as though it had an underlying truth.

Hola and Welcome What are your favorite artforms?
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
Quote:Some people deserve hell.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Photography by far. I draw stick people. lol. I enjoy hiking and like to shoot everything and anything I see along the trail. One of my favorites is mushrooms. Besides nature I also like abandoned architecture photography. There is this guy on line that I just love. He goes into these abandoned mental hospitals, prisons and old hotels and stuff like that. His work is beautiful. I love it. I haven't gotten past shooting houses, barns and old mills yet.
I enjoy other peoples art who can paint and draw well. I'm not into modern art where it just looks like splattered paint on canvas. My response always is, I can do that and I draw stick people. lol
I've also done just about every needle craft known to man except knitting. The only one I still do anymore is crochet and like everything else I like to be different. I have two rugs that are a work in progress. One made out of t-shirts and the other made out of old blue jeans.

Ooooh you're the crafty type So am I. Although I loathe sewing because I don't know how to work the machine and it pisses me off!
Www://angelfirebeads.com should still be up, I make jewelry for fun.
I also love photography I would love/adore love to do abandoned buildings, but I'm a girl and that doesn't sound safe. Plus those ghost shows really freak me out still (baby atheist)!
Here's my photography portfolio, do have yours online too?

Not so much sank, got a little funk to it and we needed a breath of fresh air. Heard this place is nice in the summertime.
