LOL
You funny hunny!
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
Quote:Some people deserve hell.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Oh and thanks I like your deconversion story. You couldn't cut it down shorter, could you? I like minimalists. I'm not one, but I like em. Just ask Minimalist.
Less is more...sometimes.
I can always flesh it out with the gory details if you'd like.

Well I for one am happy you ended up here, with us. And also that there aren't any zombies.

Thank god for the little things (dripping fake sarcasm)

I have a double suicide in my family, so I wasn't joking. I'm happy you stuck around
(And I'm happy no zombies)

Weather has been rough. I am, however, giving a presentation to the organization I belong to on Tuesday, topic: Diving in the Middle Keys. I'm including both stills and video. Should be fun!

I'm sorry to hear that. The incident in my family was "only" an attempt but it happened several times, in good part because of religion.

Yeh my dad had a passive attempt a couple years back. He's of the mindset that when you get old and aren't any good anymore, you take a walk in the desert. He thought he was dyin because he refuses to go to the doctor (for religious reasoning) and has diabetes and mental illness. So he stopped eating and drinking for a week. Didn't work.

There's a great topic of discussion, euthenasia, which by the way I'm in favor for. I want to be able to say, OK stick the needle in me doc, I'm done here.

That topic has a lot of factors to consider, but yeah me too. I think someone has to be of sound mind and if they're not they have to wait at least 6mo for the chemicals in their brain to balance before they can make a decision like that officially.
Can't wait to see your pics, btw
