I mean, if we can create a machine that allows a car to drive itself, why can't we create a machine that evaluates whether or not a car is being driven well? And cashier jobs could be done using vocal recognition easily. And then maybe I would actually get what I ordered at McDonald's for once.
What I'm saying is humans suck, and I'm looking forward to the singularity.
I work with vocal recognition and the ones that we use at least are fucking unreliable, and that's even after we have programmed our own voices into it.
We have to say codes into it using numbers and letters and the machine talks back to us in a womans voice and I've actually heard angrier members of staff shouting stuff like "THREE TWO DELTA ZULU YOU FUCKING SLUT FUCKING LISTEN TO ME YOU HORRIBLE BITCH" through the headsets plenty of times. Just today I called the machine a stupid fat cunt. It does get you angry working with machines like this I imagine robots would be just as bad.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

I want to robot to answer inane christains quibbling about cosmology, evolution, origin of ethics, etc.
It could be a pretty cheap robot. A block of lead where CPU goes would more than suffice.
