I loathe Ted Cruz; however, I cannot agree more with his summation of the Syrian civil war...something along the lines of 'we are not Al Qaeda's air force'.

I always thought Assad was the best friend we were going to get in Syria. Not recognizing that is what is trashing our credibility, letting get away with chemical genocide actually help our credibility by letting it be known that we would allow no bullshit get in the way of getting our way.

We didn't give a shit when Saddam Hussein used chemical weapons against Iran.
For that matter we didn't give a shit when we dumped 20 million gallons of Agent Orange on Vietnam....and then had our own troops march through the contaminated areas.
