I thought - should I do this - join?
Ah, just jump right in to the viper's den (just a phrase- don't take it personal- I am being totally honest).
I'm an information monger, I like anything with engines, guitar playing and above all - you know what.

Since you like engines, you'll be interested to hear that I used to build giant engines for Cummins.

If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.

I wonder why you didn't think there would be an atheist forum.Thinking

Hi from the UK!

Word to the wise: any supernatural claims will need substantial evidence before anyone will take them seriously.

Good luck!

Welcome. I fear your stereotypes regarding atheists are in danger, though your faith itself should be safe.

Welcome professor, I look forward now to reading your other thread!
Have fun, and stay away from the spitty viper Minimalist. You'll be ok Wink
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
