What I saw offline today.

RE: What I saw offline today.
Clouds like these most often appear the morning after a huge system moved through the valley. This is the drained, broken remnant.

A Zippo that belonged to my dad from the sub he was on when he died.
I don't know if it's asshole-ish to say that half the reason I love it so much is the fact it's a Zippo.

But dag' gum if they's ain't such reliable flame-givers after all.

So you're a navy brat too? Where all did you live growing up and how often did you move?

Sorry to take so long to get back to you pbb. Those are the flower buds of a South African shrub, Greyia sutherlandii. Here are some pictures of its open buds from recent years:

Don't be fooled by the first photo where we see more of the foliage from the neighboring Brugmansia. The leaves of this baby are very much like a scallop's shell.

walking void there's a thread in area69 for that Wink
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
