To abort or not to abort

They are not.

But the claim is we shouldn't concern ourselves with the contents of a person's uterus because of privacy. Obviously there are instances when we should so the argument, "Its none of your business" is not a strong one.

But that only depends on the instance.

In the case of abortion the contents of someone else's uterus is none of my business.

In the case of drug smuggling I would never try to force a drug smuggler to keep the drugs in their uterus until they were naturally expelled.

Doesn't it show that the state ultimately has governship over a woman's fetus?

If you want to argue the pro-abortion position that is fine. But choose a strong argument. The "right to privacy" isn't a compelling one.

Eh, since when are fetuses considered contraband and directly harmful to others..? Dodgy
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

This wouldn't be an issue if we became more responsible with our bodies, The acts we participate in should be thought out and have the correct protection unless they wish to try for a child. Honestly though, life is brief why make people suffer due to their choice? I respect all but the most arrogant of people.
If you wish for something to be done, act upon it. Don't just sit there and imagine.

To an extent. But the same could be said not just about a woman's foetus, indeed, pretty much everything the woman owns. Even the woman herself.

It's not so much the right to privacy but the right to choice. And quit saying pro-abortion. Nobody is "pro baby killing".

You are conflating the nature of contraband with the governship of the uterus. This argument isn't about the fetus. This argument is about who should be concerned with the contents of the uterus.

Like it or not, even though it may be your uterus, what is in it and what you do with the contents is the states business. You can't just say, "Its my body and therefore its no one's business but mine" and think you've won the argument.

No it does not. O.o

Also since you were responding originally to my comment, I wasn't making an argument. I was asked for my thoughts on abortion I was just giving my opinion.
