Hi there. I'm new here and figured that I should introduce myself. I'm Paul. I will have been a human for 45 years in May and an atheist for nearly 30 of those years. I have been fully 'out' as an atheist for approximately 20 years. In other words, atheism is nothing new to me.
I do not have any college degrees and work at a sign company as a vinyl graphics designer/production specialist. I do love knowledge, however, and have been self-teaching about subjects that interest me for as long as I can recall. I'm looking forward to learning even more from you guys.
I have been searching of late for a good non-theist forum community in which to hang my hat. I've found a few, but I am not a good fit in all of them. This one looks like it's a match.
I'm a long-winded fan of brevity and I am working on that. In the interest of my efforts, I will resist the urge to type up a full bio and history and simply say that I am a completely open person. If there is anything you'd like to know. Ask.

Thank you, my good man. I have done a lot of thread reading and this is just the kind of place I've been looking for. I'm especially glad to see that theists (and variations of atheism/agnosticism/humanism, etc.) are all welcomed equally. A bunch of atheists regurgitating the same points at each other over and over again quickly grows tiresome. Open discussion is where it's at. That is how we learn and it retards the natural tendency toward 'group think' dynamics.

Well for 500,000 who wouldn't? But you can get one way cheaper if you know where to look, for 10,000 you can buy one off the illegal donor organ market, or you can find a poor enough person and get one for a bag of grain...
