One reason is when I see humans, I see a manifestation of glory that to me seems to be eternal. It's eternal in the sense it is borrowed from an eternal light. It's not that it's beauty and greatness stems from originally nothing. It's rather eternal and must be eternal. When I think of goodness and love, this is what I see. What I see eternalness in, I see as names of God that are linked between us and God. The image of God or the face of God is a living link to me that manifests eternal and perpetual life.
Do you reject evolution?
I find it deplorable that by postulating these things about the nature of humans, you basically close all doors towards true inquiry into our past and how we came about. This talk about eternal light is just the end of thought, a pretense of knowledge, at odds with all evidence about our past and our psychology. It is commendable that you have constructed a worldview of your own according to your insights, and despite your adherence to the quran not blindly spoonfed from others, but in light of what we have learned about ourselves, it looks to me like a cul de sac far from reality.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

No I don't. I think Adam and Eve were two human beings who had a major positive mutation with the mind. The genes eventually made it to all of humanity because of how advantageous it was as a result we are all children of Adam and Eve. They were chosen of course as well to be spiritual examples to humanity.

Evidence is subjective to people. To some people, the linguistic nature of the Quran is evidence of it being from God. I tend to incline to this belief, but I lack certainty that it can't be created by a genius mind that people are yet able to copy with respect to his style of expression. I don't know. My faith is shaky to be honest.
I find Atheism and Islam to be both more logical then Deism. Deism to me seems like we have a God that gives us a scent of wisdom only to do nothing to help humanity gain of it. Rather let's us be deprived of it in our foolishness and does nothing to guide us out of our error.
At the same time, I do believe in God. Therefore Islam seems more logical. But the problem is not with Atheism vs Islam, it's with Deism vs Islam. I have no argument really to show Islam is more logical then Atheism.

The DNA evidence is conclusive - there was no Adam and Eve. It is not subjective except to those in denial.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

I get it. I do. When you realize how horrible a religion is, that's very scary. I was actually just talking about this sort of thing last night. My little sister is a lesbian. She says that becoming a lesbian has brought her closer to god and Jesus. hock:
She is so afraid to let god go that she has reinvented him in her mind. Turned him in to a god that doesn't hate her, just so she can keep him.
I don't have any problem with that, I actually prefer religious people who deny their holy books and make up their own nicer happier version of god who isn't a misogynist, homophobic, child murdering asshole.
As long as you're happy and you're not hurting anyone with your beliefs then I can respect that. <---insert hugging smilies here lol

Are you saying one mutation in the course of human evolution could never have spread to all of humanity?

Evidence of Adam and Eve being real? Evidence of their involvement in the human genome? Evidence of a god? You have a lot of work to do, and if you're content to stay where you are in your belief, then you will be guilty of giving people misinformation.

Contradictory statement.
