I've been on forums where annoying signatures + a chain of posts from the same user becomes rather annoying.

Yes you did; and the Staff, as well as regular grassroot members, who responded thus far expressed their opinions, alongside more specific technical reasons.
No, I did not. Quote it if you think so.

Personally I read it as informative, of the very thing you asked about. It was only dismissive in the sense of explaining why the answer's no.
As I said, his reply did not address what I said. And 'no' to what? I made no request.

Sorry, my bad; I meant "yes you did", in the sense of "yes I agree you expressed your opinion". It didn't sound ambiguous in my head.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

OK, thanks. I do think my view was clear.

Indeed it was. Just as the views of your respondents was equally clear.

Well then, we appear to have a stalemate. How do you see this getting resolved?
