Never had any. I think my parents were enough.

RE: Godparents
I don't have much to do with my god parents. They weren't a huge part of my life. One is my dad's cousin, and I see him at various family functions, but that's really it.

My wife and I were actually asked to be godparents of my cousin's daughter. My wife accepted, but I had to come out to them. So, they picked another male friend to fill in.

While he was alive, I never much thought of him in 'godfather' terms, he was always 'Uncle Tommy', even though he was no blood relation - my father's best friend, so he would have been 'Uncle', regardless.

RE: Godparents
My Godfather is awesome. I always pay him a visit whenever I head home to Sydney.

My Godmother, on the other hand is one of those people who should be locked up in isolation so they can't be inflicted on others.

My Fairy Godmother gave up on me years ago, calling me a hopeless case and "not deserving of imaginary creatures!" whatever that means . . .
