It doesn't matter who the last editor was because the last editor clearly didn't cut everything good out of the book. If you want to disagree with every view that resides within the Bible, however, then be my guest. You're going to get a lot of contention from a lot of people, probably even some other atheists.
Don't be so naive.
Telling sheep to be happy sheep proves exactly what?
That isn't what Is said at all, so it's pretty invalid.
You have to boil it down to its essence.

You seem to think there is great wisdom in it. All I see is a bunch of dated platitudes.
"Do unto others" is not a good or wise message? "Love" is not a good or wise message? I wonder what else you think is wrong.
"Do unto others" is far older than the bible and is common to a large amounts of cultures. It's a good moral code, but it's not strictly a Judeo-Christian message.
White.* The blank page.* The challenge:* Bring order to the whole - through design, composition, tone, form, symmetry, balance, light...and Harmony...
I've acknowledged this already, and see it as corroboration for my belief that God's message and teachings are observable in the real world without te Bible. That's how I view the Bible. But I think we established in this topic that discussion of the Bible here is not going to get us anythwere, especially on the designated topic of discussion(reasons for belief/dis-belief.) So perhaps we should stop here.
