'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House
“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom

I appreciate the warm welcome.
To add a bit more about myself, I have debated online for 4 years now. First year or two I was a creationist, then was an atheist the last two or three. I do a pretty decent job with arguments from scientific evidence and historical accounts, but my most devastating arguments come from scripture, as I am more familiar with it than most atheists. I have many mechanisms for refuting Christianity, but need to study up on more religions, as myknowledge is somewhat lacking in those aspects. I am open-minded, so I'm not opposed to theism, per se (primarily deism), but I see no evidence to prove nor disprove the existence of a god, making me agnostic as well as atheist.

Nice Led Zep pic as an avatar.
Thanks! Surprised you noticed. The picture represents isolation and introspection, which is a quintessential aspect of my life.
But yeah, I love a lot of the old bands (Floyd, Zeppelin, etc.) and the ideas they bring to the table. They're very inspirational.
