The BS of "testimonials"

You consistently come up with the silliest twaddle.

See this.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

Wow, it took him 29 years to figure out jeebus spoke to him? He is really slow, hmm well he had to follow jeebus so that's expected... but hey he met jeebus and his hole-y hands, what more proof do you need? Oh, you still need proof, he can easily do that since he has already seen his entire life.... just ask him the major news headlines for the next couple of months and you will have all the proof to start believing....

Good old testimonials.

Christian "I had a vision in which Jesus appeared to me and told me things the future holds, but I can't remember what they are, so I can't tell you. That's why I'm a Christian"

Muslim "Really? I had a vision in which Mohammed appeared to me and told me things the future holds, but I can't remember what they are, so I can't tell you. That's why I'm a Muslim."

Christian "What? You expect me to believe in your religion on the basis of such a flimsy claim?"

Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni:

"You did WHAT?  With WHO?  WHERE???"

In this case simply someone who falls for the emotional appeal not wanting to be part of divisive human behavior. Humans having conflict is not a good reason to reject one position over another.

Atheists also do not agree on all things all the time. This moron while rightfully seeing the conflict of religion used it as an excuse to eventually become a believer.

He fell for our species natural evolutionary sense of compassion. To him only a higher power can appeal to our kinder side.

I agree with some of the sentiment here, NDAs (while garnering some recent attention and compelling evidence) has been replicated in Hi G-force scenarios. It is strange topic of conversion, in fact with my own feelings of "something higher must exist" I am not flocking to Christianity.

See this.

None of these "experiences" ever happen in a lab. Not even the volume of a common claim makes evidence.

I personally had as a kid an "outer body" "experience" and saw two dead relatives and my current mom in as "ghosts". I know now that my own mental state, credulity and fear lead me to conflate my own body chemistry and dream state to "feel real".

It still amounts to "If you want to believe something badly enough you will".

Yes, by ChadWoo's criteria, we have "body of data" on Sasqautch sightings too.

Never mind that Sasquatch remains.....elusive.

And there is that body of data on the Loch Ness Monster, Spring Heeled Jack and ass-probing aliens.

Does the woo-meister connect the dots there and realize their particular pet version of woo is on the same level as the above absurdities? Seems not.

NDEs are bullshit claims. If life existed after death one could easily blow their head off with a shotgun and prove that they lived on beyond that event. Funny how no one has made that part of their control group. Not that I would advise it.

Sorry there really is NOTHING beyond nature and all life is finite, just as atoms have a shelf life.

I said noting about NDEs proving an afterlife in fact I stated they replicated them in high gforce experiments (astronauts in a centrifuge). Thought I elaborate since it seems there was a miscommunication .

Here is a really good article

And the link to the Journal http://www.resuscitationjournal.com/arti...4/abstract

Those explain how NDEs occur and neurologists think people might be somewhat aware during resuscitation.

BULLSHIT......High Gs are going to deprive anyone of oxygen and cause delusions. You would NOT have that same "come back" if you blow your head off with a shotgun.

NDEs are nothing more that humans gap filling not understanding how the brain shuts down during death.
