Ignoring a hate filled agenda isn't perspective, it's deliberately blinkered. To me, it's unhealthy to over indulge in negativity. There just happens to be a lot of negative focus on this site. Is certainly not all bad, and I appreciate the serious discussion, and fun times we have. But a lot of it is. Some days I take a look at the new posts feed and don't really want to look. But you never know if there are any jewels hidden in the shit. Usually it's all shit though.

If you join a group of people assembled because of their common outlook on a particular matter for the purpose of convincing them they are wrong, you will likely find yourself waist deep in shit. I haven't been here long, but I'm continuously surprised at how many Christians are unprepared to hear straight unvarnished answers.

As local naysayers go, you're not too bad. You're even found on the more social parts of the forum from time to time.

I recently shared this website with some people at church and I get the feeling they think it is a place where people go to find a reason to stop believing... When in truth I see it as a place where the flood waters are constantly present to test ones foundational beliefs.

Are the people at your church really so sheltered that they assume everyone starts out with faith which they seek to lose? Your time might be better spent bringing word of the wider world into that dark place under your steeple. Hopefully they at least understand that people believe in all manner of religions and differing interpretations of the same religion in addition to holding no religious beliefs at all.

Is testing your own foundational beliefs the reason you keep coming back, Drich? Do you toy with the idea of casting off your narrow beliefs and entering the wider world?

Oh, Lordy yes what-eves, I am ready to "cast off your narrow beliefs" and enter into God's kingdom!

As stated in thread 1 post 1 I am here to answer biblically based question and provide clarity about the God of the bible, and I will continue to do so till this 'talent' is taken from me and passed onto someone else.

In short I am here to help those of you who have their beliefs washed away help and instruct where and how to rebuild.
