I don't get this bill for being ill thing. It means the people less likely to be rich because of ill health have to pay.
There should be some kind of "national insurance" a tax if you will, to make health care free to all at the point of service.
LIKE IN THE REST OF THE DEVELOPED WORLD.

America, trying to screw the needy since 1776.

Socialism is about working for the good of all not just a few wealthy types. Never really understood why Americans took against it so.
In the rest of the world it isn't considered a bad thing.

Because that's not how Americans and others have been taught to see it.

The interesting part is, Bismarck was the frirst to introduce universal healthcare in Germany in 1883. Not because he loved the great unwashed, but because he had his pants full watching the socialist movement on the rise. He wanted to let the steam out of the boiling kettle.

But the affordable care act didn't have provisions written in it to cover the expenses. The Democrats are the ones that wrote the law. Am I missing something?

Quote:The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act added regulations that required insurance companies to provide better coverage for out-of-network emergency room visits. For example, many insurance companies forced patients to get prior approval before being treated at out-of-network emergency rooms before the law was passed. Higher co-pays for out-of-networks were also outlawed.

But the law did not require insurance companies to cover all of the additional expenses for emergency room visits at out-of-network hospitals, which can be significant because insurers negotiate with in-network providers for substantially lower rates.

The ACA is hardly the be-all end-all of health care. What it was, sadly, was the best possible deal that could be accomplished. Do we need single payer that puts these insurance company fuckwads out of business? Yes, we do. Is it attainable? Not at the moment because as Beccs said, too many 'murricans have been told by the upper 1% that socialism is bad....and they buy it while they cash their social security checks and have their medical issues paid by medicare.

The level of political sophistication of 'murricans is shockingly low. I present Woodie as an example.

I make a wild guess here by thinking he's one of those wanting to be fucked deep and hard. I'd have a hard time imagining him as being a member of the 1 percent.

He's simply buying the trickle down shit.
