No? Did he have a change of heart today or something? He already -is- a "corporate shill" Heywood......
Well old man Paul didn't get much support from lobbyists. But little Paul has bent over on a couple issues.

I dunno. I kinda hope he wins.
I mean, I would far prefer democrat policies in place, but with the republicans the way they are now, that simply won't happen unless they get the presidency and a super majority in both houses of congress and that is VERY difficult to do.
But if Rand Paul does win the presidency, he leans more towards libertarianism than republican philosophy, and it would be nice for the republicans to actually start to make real shifts in that direction. At very least, libertarian philosophy would make it difficult for them to inject religion into civil law.
My only worry would be that libertarians may be more difficult for democrats to reason with. They aren't going to object to government shut-downs since they kinda want huge swaths of government shut down anyway.

Libertarians throwing pot and LBGT rights at us does not mean they are right about economics. They like republicans fail to understand, or simply do not care that that you cannot explode the pay gap. It is magical thinking to think with what corporate America has done in destroying economic stability with the trickle up economics over the past 30 years, that somehow more deregulation will magically make corporate America behave itself. It would simply be throwing more gas on the fire.
I hate the claim that voting is somehow robbery if one side loses. If we are going to be politically pluralistic that means others can vote to change our tax laws. The rich do not get to decide for everyone else how our economy runs.

Hasn't the person with the most money behind the campaign always won? Safe bet then.

Brian-
You should contact your district representatives, your city council, your chamber of commerce and convince them to tax the wealthy. Maybe create a carbon tax for out of state commerce. Ask them to raise taxes on multistate, multinational corporations as well.
I recently contacted my councilman and talked him out of reinstalling red light cameras. I don't think I'm going to talk anybody into a libertarian socialist agenda. But I might petition for ballot initiatives. I'm doing research on how to start such a thing. First I have to figure out how our political system works from the local level.
