Internet wins by a cute kitten picture and a hadouken.
But seriously why its doing it historical records can be found online
and information that churches offer can be found online picked apart
studied and taken apart. Even religion is playing its own part in killing itself.
I.E. Lies eventually come to light. This however being thousands of years old.
Atheism is a non-prophet organization join today.

The information flow around the internet is just one more of many selection pressures on religions. Those that cannot adapt to it may go extinct or withdraw from contact. Most will ignore it and survive in persons not exposed to such widespread and rapid communication. Unlike science, religion does not require intelligence, equipment or substantial infrastructure to survive and grow. It has proved itself resilient and persistent over millennia and I don't expect it to wither in my lifetime. I wouldn't be surprised to see new versions specifically tuned to the internet and its users spring up and flourish.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat?

I think that the internet does have a stranglehold over religion, and it's only a matter of time before it wins (in free countries at least).
However, it is incredible the level of brainwashing and fact denying that goes on in religion. I've seen evidence on this forum of how some religious types won't read a single word of anything they deem a threat to their faith, but will respond to the post as if they have all the answers. It's a sad combination of willful ignorance and reality denial. Why they would come to an atheist forum in order to not read things is kind of bizarre.
Some religions also go to extremes to try and win this battle by banning the internet or using threat of harm or even death for those who try and use their brain. God really is pathetic if he needs such extreme measures to get people to "believe".
Look, I could kick god's arse. If he showed up right now, I'd do a top rope brainbuster on him, and that would be that.

Religion has to change, because people ask questions that can not be answered logically. When enough people agree, that the answers they are getting dont add up, the stories change. An example, homosexuality. I have always believed that people are born as homosexuals but the church's I have belonged to did not teach that. More and more people started to question religion about why their god would create a person only to be outcast from society. Religion started changing their stories, trying to be more "relevant" and walla presto homosexuality is ok! The bible did not change, but in an effort to remain mainstream, religion morphed.

Religion always pretends to answer "logically." What it cannot do is answer factually.

More like, "it's a calm and nice day because I am having a picnic and god loves me."
Jesus freaks always think their godboy just loves their asses off.
