Love of the beloved compels me to be his slave and I take being his slave as an honor.

I regard this as your problem. Grovel to the imaginary if you like.

Two pages in, I'm still disappointed. Time to trawl Literotica.

Does the slave-Leia costume count?

Of course.

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Er, what the fuck? Did this news story come through a time warp from biblical times?

But why should this be the spirit of humans? Why not an act of valuing morality or God? Why not an act of love towards God or goodness or people. Why not of appreciation of God?

Why is the religion described to be submission? Why not love?

In the Bible it is reported the two laws are love of God with all the heart and love of each human like love of yourself.

That makes more sense as a religion and law, then submission. Submission implies people do it out of a sense of duty. But I don't think this an accurate description of how humans or even Muslims operate.

People act out of valuing, loving, appreciating...People connect to the Divine because God means something great to them.

Worship shouldn't be an act of submission, but an act of love.

IMHO it is because the manipulators who invented the religion wanted people to blindly follow whatever they said without question.
They wanted an easily controllable population and military.

There surely has to be consequences when you transgress the rules that you've been told to follow. It is this way for a reason.

And a part of loving God is to accept His authority over us. If God was unconditionally merciful to all people no matter what they did, then He wouldn't exist as an authority over us, and so then people would just forget about Him as if they don't need Him anymore. That would create a passive and self-serving kind of love towards God because that's not going to change anyone. Real love transforms people and rouses them into action.

One day you and everyone else will return to their Lord like slaves, anyway ...

"The Day that the caller will call them to a terrible thing, they will come forth with humbled eyes from (their) graves as if they were locusts spread abroad. Hastening towards the caller, the disbelievers will say: 'This is a hard Day.'" (Surah 54:6-8)

Then the disbelievers will wish they had submitted.

RE: Love, valuing, appreciating vs Submission
If a God was wonderful and worthy of respect, he would get respect. If he made me and made my life wonderful, and everyone else's, I would respect him. Maybe not worship, but I'd be very thankful and I'd not forget him.

That's hardly the case. My life could be far worse, but on average I rate my mood at about 1-2 out of 10, 10 being normal healthy hapiness. If he made me and wanted me to be happy, he done fucked up.

Worshipping is just weird, and why the hell would an omnipotent being require it? Or anything? A dead giveaway that it's another pile of crap.

Erm, rayaan, I have no clue what you're talking about. Are you defending enforced worship? I can't make any sense of what you wrote. Threats are threats. They are not love.

I have a series of videos that give you an idea why threats and free choice do not go together well. Please watch.

You have no evidence of that.

Don't be ridiculous.

I wouldn't want to return to anyone who wanted me to be a slave anyway.

At least, not in the non-BDSM sense.
