That is basically my belief in a nut shell. Now, if you are an atheist, you may find my beliefs laughable, sickening, stupid, etc....which is fine, Christianity isn't for everyone because after all, Jesus said "But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it." (Matt 7:14).
Can you see your arrogance in this verse ?.

Can you see your arrogance in this verse ?. Not just the arrogance. It contradicts the claim that god wants everyone to be saved. He predicted that very few would be saved, but he's god-- nothing is beyond his reach if he desires it, therefore that is a manifestation of his desire. God only wants a relative few to ever reach heaven.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

That makes it plausible there was a real unhinged con man by the name of Jesus at the center of the Jesus cult. He needed to justify to his idiot groupies why, despite his claims of power, grandeur and alledged ability to dole out the goodies, so few other than those idiot groupies were impressed.
If he was purely made up, the made up character would not have need to have been attributed this revealing little alibi.

But then .. who are we to question God's standard for acceptable collateral damage, right?

For god, collateral damage means 99.99% of every living thing in the vicinity. Based on that, we should probably seek out the smallest Christian cult: they're the likeliest to be the correct one based on god's tendency to be very, very thorough.

Right, so you're trying to disprove the Big Bang Theory in place of "some magical guy up in the sky created the universe." do you not realize that Your story is the same as ours, who created this God that you speak of? How did he come to be? or was he always just "there"
