I'm Atheist Mom. I've been a lurker in the atheist community for a long time but I have decided to come out of the shadows and onto Youtube. I've started making videos and have a web series on Women of the Bible and what we actually learn from them.
I think that it's important for female atheist to voice themselves as well. I am not a 'Feminist' as the current movement would have it.
I have 3 beautiful daughters and a wonderful husband. Because of my husband's disabilities, and my middle daughters special needs, I'm a stay at home mom.
Because of that we don't have a lot of money, so we have to live with my crazy inlaws, who are mormon. I can't be open about my atheism so I decided to take to the internet.
In my web series, I'm looking at what belief.net says we can learn from women of the bible, then looking at the actual story in the bible, and analyzing what we can really learn from it. It's not pretty and it's not what we want to teach our daughters.
I hope to have a lot of fun with this and hopefully I'll gain a few new subscribers!
Welcome! I watch YouTubers quite a bit. Technically I am one, but have only uploaded some accent tags. Most Tubers I like are J-vloggers. That is, Westerners who have settled in Japan and vlog about their experiences.
But I love learning from Atheists about their journeys as well, and it sounds like an interesting one. Hope you stick around to get to that 30 mark (and beyond) so you can, in time, give us your YouTube info. I think I remember committing that same infraction when I was a newb here, too. It is what it is. The rule has good logic.
Come back soon!
