Hello. I'm new and very interested in this community. I'm a 13-year old girl who was raised Catholic, but am agnostic. I arrived at this point through lots of reading, as I have always loved reading and been fairly good at it. Reading exposed me to different viewpoints and I like to think that it help to teach me how to think. I consider myself open-minded and able to change my opinion, if a better opinion, supported by facts, is presented to me. I suppose you'll see me in forums, and I look forward to seeing you.

Hi, I'm a former catholic too. Must have been at your age when I didn't care about religion anymore.
Quote: I'm a 13-year old girl who was raised Catholi I gave up church when I was 13 too, dear. That was a long time ago. Welcome into the light. "The Universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements: energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest." G'Kar-B5
Hey Roxy, Welcome!
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Welcome. I gave up religion (UU) in my late twenties. Nice to be free. What part of the world are you in, if we may ask?
"For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring." - Carl Sagan
Again, welcome!
And congratulations for deconverting that soon.
"Every luxury has a deep price. Every indulgence, a cosmic cost. Each fiber of pleasure you experience causes equivalent pain somewhere else. This is the first law of emodynamics [sic]. Joy can be neither created nor destroyed. The balance of happiness is constant.
Fact: Every time you eat a bite of cake, someone gets horsewhipped. Facter: Every time two people kiss, an orphanage collapses. Factest: Every time a baby is born, an innocent animal is severely mocked for its physical appearance. Don't be a pleasure hog. Your every smile is a dagger. Happiness is murder. Vote "yes" on Proposition 1321. Think of some kids. Some kids."
Hey, I dropped in earlier in another thread to say hi. But, again, welcome.
