The Elder scroll series got weaker with every instalment.
Probably because Morrowind was an entirely new concept and the novelty wore off, once they didn't really add to quests and storyline in the following titles. I was really dissapointed that the Skyrim environment didn't even live up to Fallout 3 when it comes to reactivness.
So Skyrim is my least favorite title, since it took away a lot of the restrictions of character development and NPCs still treat you like shit even if you mastered every guild and the main quest. That's also the problem. That you can master every guild and are encouraged to do so. There aren't certain stats anymore that you have to have in order to advance.

Dark elf every day of the week. Their lore is so much more interesting than all the other races.

Which is great... though the game was rushed, as so many are... leaving civil wars and dragons... lackluster.
Altogether a brilliantly built game, which built on the radiant quests of Oblivion. Not too hard to mod into being 'whatever you wanted it to be' either.

Mods 'fix' all of those things (only the being treated as 'garbage' is an 'actual issue', and a mod totally handles that and really does a lot on that end ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23390/ ))... but their design intent shines through beautifully, and it's integrated very well.
Thing about Bethesda in general... they don't disallow you from building the most ridiculous OP shit if that's what you want to play. Some character designs are technically better off in the world at level 15 than they are at level 85 (skyrim)... Dunmer, for instance.
Play what you want to play... if you don't want to go be master of every guild? That's your choice, and you can reflect it through your decisions as a player.
Forgive me if I don't cry 'boo hoo' because the developers opted to not restrict much of what I do in a single player game

Try upgrading to 8, the performance enhancements are quite steep,. Also make sure you have no back ground apps going and download the video card drivers from the makers site.

Well... But I don't want Windows 8, I'd rather wait and buy a better PC than installing windows 8 right now
