I was 8 when the first one came out.

That shit was awesome. I still love that movie.

#2 has its moments, and Pete fucking Postlethwaite! That alone...

#1 vs. #3 is simply comparing awesome apples to low budget oranges. I enjoy it as a B movie. It never was an attempt at a grand movie. It's also quite short, a vignette almost.
