Nothing will ever beat brassed off when it comes to Pete Postlehwaite.

Regardless, it'll be a trip up torrent ally for me to see JP4.

That shit was awesome. I still love that movie.

I don't care if this one is horrible. I will still watch.

The first one is still the only movie I ever went to see twice in theaters. It ruined a lot of dinosaur movies for me, but it was worth it. As long as I get my CGI dinosaurs I don't care much about the script.

That may be, but frankly, they don't have dinosaurs...

Have you seen Primeval, the series?

Anyways, for me it's about the script. I want escapism, atmosphere and some (faux)philosophical meanderings.

I think I have only seen star gate twice in the theater. If you don't count Star Trek, LOTR or Matrix (ugh.) multi feature nights.

Never thought I'd see the day when people stood up and defended JP 2 & 3 Smile

Different strokes I guess.

Also guess that I'm willing to get into an argument about these films gives me an answer to the thread.

I've never seen anything twice in theaters. I hate going to the theater, and only do it because I want to see the movies as large as possible at least once.

But at home? I will watch my favorite movies over and over and over again.

I always feel a bit on edge at the cinema and I'm not really sure why.

All the people crammed into a small area, with people scoffing down popcorn and slurping drinks, with other people's bad Body odour wafting near me. Yuk.

Agree though, sometimes there's films you need to watch in the cinema to get the best experience. Other people ruin that experience because I mostly dislike other people.

I haven't. I have only recently begun to watch the occasional TV series thanks to Netflix. I'm terrible at maintaining a viewing schedule. I'll keep an eye out for it, though.

I can appreciate a good story that is well-told and well-acted, but for some films I've learned to turn off my brain (or at least, lower my expectations) in order to enjoy them. Too few of the movies I watch wind up having the kind of story and depth that I can really sink into. Kolya might still be my favorite in that regard, in that the acting is understated but you're able to pick up the nuances pretty easily (not bad for a subtitled version). It weaves symbolism into the script brilliantly, IMO, something I don't commonly get to see in movies.

I geek out about Jurassic Park movies that have Chris Pratt leading a raptor pack.

Jurassic Park is my favorite movie of all time, and I am waiting on pins & needles for this latest iteration. I don't care really about how good/bad it is. It will bring me back to being 9 years old and idolizing Dr. Ian Malcolm and his skepticism.

Protip from Losty. Go to the smallest town near you with a theatre. Go on a Tuesday. I love going to see movies on the big screen. I almost always go when no one else is there but me. Big Grin

Bah, weekdays I'm working all day, and when I'm not working I'm doing my chartered accountancy exams.

Weekdays don't exist for me at the moment. My only escape is the odd amount of time here, lol.
