What IS good, and how do we determine it?
RE: What IS good, and how do we determine it?
The following Bible verse is relevant:

Romans 2:14-15 “For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law…shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness..."

My comment is that knowledge of right and wrong, even for non-believers, comes from God.

What about psychopaths and sociopaths?

Oh wait, they're perfect examples of god's morality

Full marks in my second bookkeeping exam today, woo! I'm now qualified to scribble shit on some paper and charge you money for it. I'll soon be starting my computerised course so I can scribble on virtual books.

Debits and credits are my bitches this day.

Wonderful, congratulations!
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Yes, psychopaths and sociopaths all right.

Thanks CL Smile

Apparently god wrote different things on all our hearts, and nothing at all on some hearts.

Why? Why would he do that? It's time I was put in charge. A vote for robvalue is a vote for godvalue.

I suppose we have to learn how to read our hearts or something... but this doesn't work, because even given any length of time people still don't come to an agreement. Objective morality doesn't mean anything if no one actually knows what it is, and not even Christians can agree. All we have is millions of Christians (and also Muslims etc) proclaiming different interpretations of it, all claiming to be the correct one. What use is that? I can't verify any of them, and I can't "follow" all of them, even if I wanted to.

That's because you're an evil heathen in denial of the grace of god.
Everyone knows bookkeeping is the work of the devil!

Also, bookkeeping is one of my favourite words... (only standard word with 3 double letters in a row)
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.

If you don't count bookkeeper and bookkeepers.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

It's not the only standard word with 3 double letters in a row.

Everyone knows bookkeepers doing bookkeeping are doing the work of the devil.

A heart is not an efficient place to write things, especially if written in red ink.

This always happens.

Someone says "Stuff is written on our hearts."

We say, "That makes no sense for the following reasons:”

They pretend we haven't said anything.

Next day, "Stuff is written on our hearts."
