Fox News’ Brit Hume can’t believe Trump is already whining about ‘rigged’ polls

While Rupert Murdoch’s pet cable news network doesn’t typically voice harsh criticism of The Donald, Media Matters notes that Fox News anchor Brit Hume simply couldn’t let Trump get away with saying all polls that show him losing are inherently flawed.

“They certainly liked [polls] all during the primary season when he was leading, and he couldn’t stop talking about them,” Hume told Fox News’ Martha McCullum. “Now the polls are adverse to him, and that one in particular he doesn’t like. And I’m sure his supporters, the ones I hear from anyway say that the poll is rigged, and all the rest of it.”

Thousands of wealthy donors who helped fuel Republicans’ presidential ambitions in the last two election cycles have not donated to Donald Trump’s campaign or to other committees supporting his bid, underscoring the challenge the real-estate magnate faces in securing the hundreds of millions he needs to finance his general-election campaign.

Just 29 people who contributed to a super PAC supporting Republican Mitt Romney’s presidential bid four years ago had donated either to Trump’s campaign, to the Republican National Committee via a joint fundraising committee he established with the party or to a pro-Trump super PAC, Great America PAC, according to a USA TODAY analysis of new campaign-finance reports.

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said Saturday that he wouldn't characterize his immigration policies as including "mass deportations" and that, rather than a blanket ban on Muslims entering the U.S., he'd focus on barring those from countries with links to terrorists.
