What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?

Not that they hadn't tried before but the squirrels were always the clear winners...till today. I guess there is a tiny trace of wolf in them. It's gonna be a long fall since the backyard is a treasure trove of acorns. Do I need to put the squirrel head on a spike as a warning to others?

Nah that doesn’t work.

They’ll try to take revenge on your dogs and the situation will escalate.

Well, it did for me and that mormon.

Bury the body or plant it in your neighbour’s yard.

My husband wanted to know if it was a big squirrel or a little one.  I told him he can gauge that when he removes it from the yard outside our fence - somewhere near the neighbors house.  Not my job to get rid of the body...this time.

Good grief did that little escapade let me know my heart isn't back to normal.  Not even close.  I sat down panting and thinking that this is how it ends...

Deep-fried Oreos are remarkably delicious.

Also...
Eating a single deep-fried Oreo can cause heartburn for hours.

The German version of Sesame Street would have been fucking depraved! Yep, sex ed, Big Bird saying "shit!" and Muppets screwing before The Happytime Murders. And apparently German child development scientists live in a porno.

Apparently, the final series is significantly tamer.

Packs of Wild dogs can take down a full grown tiger.  Can wolves do that?

What you have there is Siberians training their dogs to not be afraid of tigers. Wolves aren't that stupid.

Today I learned that Jane Wiedlin (rhythm guitarist for the Go-Go's) had a very small part in the film 'Clue'.  She was the singing telegram messenger who was killed by Wadsworth at the front door with a revolver.

You remember how Harry Potter spent most of his early years living in a cupboard under the stairs? It turns out there's another name for that particular place: a glory hole.

Yes, really. I discovered this from Ghostwatch, an infamous British TV movie that created a massive panic in 1992 because it did a really fucking good job of pretending to be a live TV broadcast of a real exorcism that culminated in BBC host Michael Parkinson and EVERY TV IN THE COUNTRY getting possessed by a ghost. And I think the whole controversy may be a good article for Anglotopia.

That there is a sequel to "sound of music" called "Von trapps in America", although it's not a sequel to "The Sound of Music" movie but rather to the story itself.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
