What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?

Bananas have a curved shape because they reach for the sunlight when they grow. This unique process is known as 'negative geotropism'.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

That’s because the basic factor in issues of volume is speaker sensitivity. The equation is SPL=10log(wattage)+speaker sensitivity+10log(number of speakers). Hell, with the right 12” speaker, a single-watt amp (turned up damn loud) would probably be sufficient for the stage.

And because the decibel scale is logarithmic, a 10-watt amp would be twice as loud as a 1-watt amp, but you’d need 100 watts to be four times as loud. I discovered this a while back and even created a list (admittedly rudimentary and based only on reported speaker sensitivity, so nothing but the Pignose was done at a proper full-volume test) of famous amps as sorted by what I ended up calling the X-score

Australia's first police force (the Night Watch) was made up of 12 of the best-behaved criminals.

Italians wear red underwear on New Year’s Eve to bring them good luck.  It is a tradition dating back to medieval times when the men would wear a red drape to protect the family jewels from witches.

Probably. I could easily gig with this setup.

According to this forum post, an amp should be about 80 dB from 30 feet away, or (using the equation I described above) about 99.2 dB from 1 meter away. Maybe louder if you’re not banking on a PA. So, it makes sense that you could gig with a 5 watter and a 1x12 cab with a sufficiently sensitive speaker. (Indeed, a cranked single watter and an Alnico Blue, G12H30, or Vintage 30 might work.) Hell, with the right speakers, anything above about 30 watts might be overkill.

And for the record, what speaker’s in your 112 cab?

That would be the guy with the BLT sandwich. The one with no lettuce or tomato in it. Big Grin

Given that the people shipped weren't necessarily all that bad, I can see this happening.
