Sure, not in 'religion' by itself.
It's the religion's members you have to watch closely.
You know, the ones with the thumbscrews.
And the members that stand by while those with the thumbscrews get their jollies.
Without adherents, religion doesn't do much.  It just sort of sits there and decays.
