Absolutely as dangerous.  Fortunately Judaism in North America is profoundly liberal (Orthodox enclaves aside).  The largest branch (Reform) has ordained LGBT rabbis for decades and performed LGBT weddings for quite some time as well.  Now if we could just get rid of the supernatural nonsense...

Some of my grandfather's extended family were orthodox. I say, my grandfather's family, since they cut all ties to us after he died. They never could forgive him for marrying a christian woman and they hated us just for our existence. So they certainly aren't my family. At least not in the sense of caring.
