Cherry pick any book and you can justify anything. This is the same god character stemming from the Hebrew god of Abraham. All these books are tribal gang manuals written to get the reader to buy the idea of being the Chosen people.
All have depictions of violence to other tribes and all of them put girls/ women and kids as property status.
Those books were all written for the people of that time in an age of scientific ignorance. Back then ones success was falsely attributided to the divine.
