Correct me if I am wrong, but if you think overpopulation is a problem, it seems like it would logically follow that you would consider it immoral or at least unfavorable to have kids. Is this the case? Why or why not?
Please explain.
Overpopulation is a problem. Global warming is the result of needing to provide energy for so many folks.
I've got my replacement value, , with one son.
I don't consider reproduction to be subject to morals, because it is an innate biological drive. If we overpopulate so much that we drive ourselves to extinction, that isn't a matter of morality, but rather, evolution. There is such a thing as being too successful in evolutionary terms, and we are courting it: GW, which is clearly driven by man's thirst for energy, is no different than deer reproducing too much and going through an explosion/crash cycle.
