I wasn't clear, but thought it would be understood. I would not actually cast a vote for Trump for President, but have no compunction about registering republican when I move to Florida to vote for him in next year's Florida primary. Consider it a form of agitation to help make sure he's the nominee. What I was clear about, that you chose to ignore, is my specific recognition of his integrity even if you don't like everything or anything that comes from his mouth. A reasonable person would include in everything and anything his blundered immigration remarks.
That's right, blundered. I hate that I'm put in a position of having to defend a guy like Trump, but you insinuating the man is racist when the background and facts regarding his comments are so well known makes you just as informed as those single issue chuckle-heads that go to the polls with abortion on their minds. He fucked up talking about his reading of a magazine article which in turn fucked up it's quoting of an Amnesty International report stating that 60% of all women crossing the border are subject to sexual assault (the magazine Trump referenced quoted 80%). His rejoinder "someone's doing the raping" only makes sense in light of the article and the Amnesty International report. You are of course free to remain stupid and think he was talking about rape in general.
The other reason I am safe in concluding Trump isn't racist is that I'm sure he thinks everyone who doesn't have a billion dollars in the bank is beneath him. Seriously though, don't believe everything you hear. The only reason I know about the magazine and Amnesty International report reference is because I was quite taken aback by Trump's comments; they simply didn't make sense in light of what else I know about the man. This prompted me to do a little discovery instead of just swallowing the 'racist' line.
