One day I took a pack I was smoking on and wadded it up and have never smoked on since, it wasn't easy but I was determined I was going to be successful and have been since the late 90's. Now I can't even stand to smell and want allow anyone to smoke in my house and car, figure I have the right to keep my things smelling clean and I sure don't need to breath second hand smoke. I can breath much better now and have far less risk of smoker related illnesses.
So here's why I wrote this, if as you guys believe, a weak minded Christian can quit, why not you. Do as I did put them down and never pick one up again, just don't do it. I promise you this, it's something you will never regret, best of luck to those who try and congratulations to those who succeed.

I'm glad you beat the habit, GC. I'm in the process of doing that myself.
My advice? Don't start, and if you do, quit while you can. You have my sympathy and my support.
Good luck and don't pick one up, I chewed tooth picks and wire ties when I need something to help with the cravings. I'm glad you're quitting don't give up, once your free of them, well, it's one great feeling for the rest of your life, this is a gift worth giving yourself.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
