Alas poor syllabus, a useful word meaning a summary of content usually of the material to be studied in a class or the salient points of a legal opinion. Syllabus has long since been perverted by grade school teachers to mean a contract of adhesion concerning grading policy, due dates, and class discipline to be signed by student and parent under threat of receiving an F on said syllabus. I like to send said teachers on F on vocabulary. (Can you tell it's syllabus signing season here?)
