Stupid Words
English is a rich and varied language, but there are some words and phrases that are simply nonsensical, for a variety of reasons.
-unboxing
-de-plane
-differently abled
Lots more, but those are - for me - some of the most cringe-inducing.
Any others?

Maybe there are no stupid words, and merely stupid ways of using them.

Drives me nuts when people (husband) says they are going to unthaw something. Doesn't that mean you are going to freeze it?
Growing up with a veterinarian father has made it so that when someone says they had their animal spaded the hairs stand up on my neck.
Agree with de-plane. I have never had to de-car, de-boat, or de-bus.

"Inflammable". If an inoperable item cannot operate, and an inconvenience is not convenient, why is an inflammable thing extremely flammable?

"Necrophiliac." The proper term is "Necrophile."

Aggressiveness, normalcy, intuitiveness, and god help us, I recently heard someone say ferociousness, I nearly kicked the TV off the stand.
Levity aside, I have noticed that the words take and bring, seem sometimes used differently to how I am used to in the UK, bring is used when you are moving something towards someone or something, and take when you are moving something away from someone or something, so it can be down to a matter of perspective I suppose. For example I would say I am taking, and not binging, something to a party, unless I am talking to someone at the destination of party.
Language is a funny old thing...accents even more so.

I only recently realised that Americans say "normalcy" instead of "normality" also they use "shined" instead of "shone" must be something to do the amount of sugar they put in the bread!
