Most Christians won't agree due to their pride. That verse is true, those who believed in Jesus before he came were saved, those who believed in Jesus when he was alive, and those who believed in Jesus after he rose are saved.
What does pride have to do with thinking that the crucifixion was necessary to salvation; and if it wasn't, what was the point of the crucifixion?
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
