its a relief to think that life was an accident?
it should be depressing to think we're all molecules in motion and nothing else
you put your faith in whatever research you found against the kjv then
I do understand the gospel. But eeeeeeeeevery Evangelical Fundamentalist Christian I speak to continues to insist that I don't. It's funny; I haven't changed anything since the days when I was a Christian, and back then people in my church used to openly marvel at my understanding and ability to retain passages, and apply them to lessons. Suddenly, when I no longer think it's a holy book, but just the work of humans, without changing any of my other understandings, I now "don't understand" it.
I'm an evolutionary biologist. What's wrong with life being a cosmic accident? Seriously. I've never understood why people can't accept the simple fact that we're not special.
I have yet to meet anyone who thinks "we're all molecules in motion and nothing else". What the fuck does that even mean? If we're made of the same stuff as the rest of the universe, if we're the same as all the other living things on earth, then it's tragic? Really?
What do you mean, "whatever research I found against the KJV"? This is well-known history of how the KJV was made. This is taught at every Christian seminary in the country. My mother just retired as a professor (department head!) at a private Southern Batpist university, and even they teach this about the history of the KJV, though they still consider it the inerrant Word of God.
You don't get to substitute your own reality, dude.
they want to make the kjv look unreliable because they don't want you to read it!
there are no contradictions in the kjv
and if we are a cosmic accident then there is nothing wrong or right about anything its just our opinion. but even that is just electricity in our brain or sound waves coming out of our mouth. we might as well not exist

No, but that's irrelevant. You haven't demonstrated intellectual integrity to this point, despite having ample opportunities to do so.
Do you see yet how evidence works?
