If you read the whole bible, salvation is available for both Jews and gentiles.
When Jesus' disciples asked him why he spoke in parables, he said he did it so that the people outside his inner circle would not understand and be saved.

Why read the rest of the Bible if all I'll find is a passage that contradicts what Jesus said?
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
