So now that my midterm grades are posted, I am getting offers from these collegiate honor societies.
So far:
Phi Kappa Phi
Gamma Beta Phi
Golden Key
Has anyone on these forums ever been a member of one of these (or similar) societies? I know Phi Beta Kappa is the one to be in, and I will have to wait until next year when I get invitations for those. Is it worth it? Has anyone gotten any benefit for joining?
Basically PKP is top 10% of your class, Golden Key is top 15%, and Gamma Beta Phi is something else, I haven't looked at their website yet.
They are membership dues type deals, so there is a cost (like $80 a year or lifetime for like $400)
Advice?

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
