I didn't sleep at all Thursday night, now here it is Saturday and its looking like I'm not sleeping again tonight.

I took a couple of Tramadol.  You know what it's like when in enough pain that it keeps you awake, no matter how tired you are?  Yeah, me too.  

It's been almost four years to the day since the onset of this condition, and I haven't figured out how to sleep through it.

How does a person cope with this?

I would suggest taking your Tramadol along with a dose of acetaminophen (Tylenol), provided that you consult your physician and it's determined appropriate for you to take.Tramadol 50mg does not contain acetaminophen. The two medications can be safely taken together.

I take 1000mg (two 500mg Extra Strength tablets) along with one Tramadol 50mg BEFORE  pain becomes unbearable and it works quite well...Much more effective than Tramadol alone.

This is a suggestion to help manage periodic or temporary pain ONLY. Consult your physician if you have a need for routine pain medication.
