How would God be able to prove to you he is good?

He'd have to prove he exists first. The proof would then be in the results of his work. Based on all my years living on this planet, the results look entirely uncoordinated and I can easily imagine an infinitely superior world with no suffering. So either God gave me an imagination which goes beyond his own power and also makes his work look exactly like the result of nonsentient processes, or he is choosing to maintain a world which is a mere shadow of what it could be. Or, more sensibly, that no one is in charge at all.
