RE: Legitimate women's rights issues

I don't agree with this idea of women being weaker than men. Even if you could find evidence to say that, on average, they are weaker, that still doesn't mean there aren't women who could kick a man's ass. There's a woman I work with who does amateur boxing and, trust me, you do not want to mess with her. Conversely there are also men (like me) who seriously lack upper body strength and would never be able to handle themselves in a fight.
I think the idea of "women are weak" is a self-fulfilling prophecy, it's become a "truth" because it's so pounded into us psychologically. Think back to when humanity was just a fledgling hunter-gatherer species fighting for survival in the wild. Who do you think were protecting the children from predators while the men were out hunting? Hint, it wasn't the men. Among other animal species we continue to see this too; threaten a baby of any large cat species, 9 times out of 10 it'll be the mother with her fangs in your neck.
